Sources of Risk for Companies
Most of the sources of risks faced by the company, can not be unambiguously attributed to the standard categories. Typically, two groups of risks: operational and financial (market) risk . Each category includes a separate subcategory.
Operational risk:
Business risk;
Financial
Operational;
Credit;
Risk of danger;
Loss of reputation (brand).
Financial (market risk):
Interest;
Currency;
Changes in the price of the goods.
This separation can not be considered mutually exclusive and fully comprehensive. Some experts add to this list categories such as regular risk, technological and strategic risks . Others use different terms to define the same risks, such as use the term " random risk "instead of" risk of danger "and" operational risk "- instead of" operational risk ".
